Fancy learning to play football for fun & exercise, now Christmas is over?

Now Christmas is over, do you feel a bit lethargic and think you should get some exercise?

Are you someone who doesn’t like the gym and wouldn’t even give a thought to attending an aerobics class?

Do you maybe lack a bit of confidence or feel you would love to do something but don’t know where to start?

If you’re not the stereotypical size/shape/age/ability of someone who is good at sport, then we have just the thing for you!

Women’s Recreational Football.

Come and learn to play football with the COGS (Crawley Old Girls)!  We have been very proud to win FA/Community Awards and will make sure that anyone feels welcome, especially on their first visit.  You will make friends, definitely laugh, learn new skills and increase your fitness without even realising it!

So many ladies (Mums, Nans, Aunts & Sisters) have joined us and were still joining us in 2017.  They haven’t looked back since, with some saying it’s changed their lives.

If football is something you’d never really thought about playing before, we can highly recommend it as fun exercise, regardless of ability or age.  We have a complete Beginners’ session where you are made to feel welcome and will be shown the basics of football by qualified FA Coaches and see the fun that we have playing the beautiful game.  You will be surprised just how enjoyable it really is and you don’t have to have any experience at all.

This is Mandy who was just about to score her first goal in a tournament after she had run down the wing and past a player!  Amazing stuff.

Then we have Jane who pulls off this brilliant save!  These ladies never thought they would ever be playing football a while ago!

There are also Football Tournaments/Festivals held throughout the year by County FAs (Cheshire FA, Kent FA, Staffs. FA, Surrey FA & Sussex FA to name a few), with more getting involved around the Country.  The CFAs totally embrace the the concept of women just wanting to play football for enjoyment.  These Tournaments/Festivals are great fun and give everyone the opportunity to enjoy playing, regardless of ability.

Come and join one of the ever growing sectors of Women’s Football, we promise you will love it!

Due to the popularity of Women’s Recreational Football and more experienced women wanting to play for fun, we also have a more experienced session for Advanced/Experienced players which is on Wednesdays, after the Beginners’ session from 8.30 – 9.30pm.
