No. 1 Keeper Saves the “Old Girls”!
From making world class saves on the pitch for Crawley Town, the Club’s number one goalkeeper, Glenn Morris, generously helped the Crawley Old Girls (COGS) off the pitch, too.
Glenn very kindly donated some of his gloves to the COGS, to support the teams who are entering the FA People’s Cup, in February.
Goalkeeping is not a particularly popular position when playing for the COGS, as some ladies (and Crawley Hospital) have found out…. Fractured/dislocated fingers have been known to happen!
On Saturday, Glenn took time out to visit a session, before the game against Barnet, to hand over some of his gloves to Carol Bates and some of the COGS.
With Glenn’s generosity, the ladies will now be properly kitted out, ready for the FA People’s Cup.
Bates said “It’s great to see members of the First Team helping out the COGS (some of whom are regular supporters of Crawley Town) and we’d like to thank Glenn for his kind donation. We might even see fewer injuries!”
